happy thirtieth birthday, emily!!!
greg: Remember how excited Jeremy and I were the day you came back from Pittsburgh. We were so excited that you two were engaged :)
shani: i am trying to remember specifics of how much you have made an impact on my life and, my mind is blank. stink! well, there was the birthday trip you, bekah, sarah, and laura dragged me up to sleeping bear dunes in my sickly state. even though my body felt miserable, i had so much fun for my 25th birthday. i still remember the picture we took at your parents beforehand of us all, arm-in-arm, bowing. i remember singing old mariah carey songs in the car on the way up and climbing trees there and posing on the sandy dunes. i miss those days. they seem so distant. so far in the past. good things for pictures.
emily, we are both so excited about you entering this momentous decade! although the number seems intimidating--that "3" that boasts of its age and seniority--it really appears to be a grand decade and will be a delightful and adventurous stage of life for you (that is at least from my stand point. greg is a month behind you in turning thirty.).
